The British cave Science Centre relies upon funding and sponsorship from a number of companies, charities and organisations. Find out more about those organisations who help keep us running.

BRITISH CAVE RESEARCH ASSOCIATION

The BCRA is a charity dedicated to promoting cave science. As part of this the BCRA has dedicated funds to support the set up and ongoing maintenance of the cave science centre over an initial 5 year period (2018-2023).

BUXTON CIVIC ASSOCIATION

The BuxCA is the charity responsible for the management of Pooles cavern. the BuxCA is dedicated to promoting cave science and education and is matching the funding provided by the BCRA over the first 5 years of the project.

GEMINI DATA LOGGERS

Gemini or TinyTag data loggers have kindly provided all the loggers for the radio logging network, as well as their staff expertise at no cost to the BCSC. This collaboration will hopefully continue throughout the life of the project.

HIDDEN EARTH

Hidden Earth cavers conference has kindly provided funding to support specific science projects within the cave, including the purchase of instrumentation which would not have been possible through other funding routes.

BURSARIES

The BCSC makes small research bursaries available to researchers to enable them to access the site and undertake their research. Find out more about these and how to apply below.

RESEARCH EQUIPMENT

TRAVEL AND ACCESS

Travel bursaries are now available due to direct sponsorship from Hidden Earth. These are to support T and S for those using the BCSC for research.  

Occasionally, the BCSC would consider funding a specific piece of research equipment needed to support a project at the site.
