From this page you can access all of the Cave Science Centre data, completely open access, happy downloading!

Live data streamed directly from the loggers at Pooles Cavern can be accessed simply via a link below to the BCRA data landing page; logger positions can be found on the monitoring page as a survey download. We also present archived data in Excel format for each year, the current archive runs from October 2018-October 2019. Below that you will find the data broken into monitoring parameter so you can target just the data you need. 

Disclaimer: Live download data is "raw", this means it potentially contains gaps, anomalies and malfunctions which have not been screened.

LIVE DATA NETWORK

Follow the link for the BCRA landing page and download any of the mesh data loggers in real time. Downloads are either possible through a csv. file or ideally using the TinyTag software and a jf. file.

CAVE TEMPERATURE

Cave temperature data from October 2018- March 2020. This data set includes 11 temperature probes within Pooles Cavern, the locations and serial numbers of which are shown on the cave survey above.

CAVE AIR CO2 CONCENTRATION

Cave air CO2 data from October 2018- October 2019.

ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE

Atmospheric pressure data from both outside and inside the cave, October 2018- March 2020.

DRIP RATE

Cave drip rate data from October 2018- March 2020. There are 5 drip monitoring stations currently in Pooles Cavern, 3 under fast dripping hyperalkaline speleothems and 2 under slower dripping natural speleothems.

EXTERNAL TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY

Data from the weather station outside Pooles Cavern entrance, October 2018- March 2020.

RAINFALL

Rainfall data from outside the entrance to Pooles Cavern from October 2018- March 2020. Data is presented in both drips/ 10 mins and mm rainfall/ 10 mins, following calibration.

SOIL TEMPERATURE

Data from three depths, 60, 30 and 10cm below the soil surface, October 2018- March 2020.
